Keeping your pores clean...

Comedogenic Ratings

(causing acne)

Everyone's skin reacts differently to various oils and butters. Those with oily skin may tend toward clogged pores and may have difficulty using some of the oils considered comedogenic, while those with normal or dry skin may be able to tolerate them much better.

While some oils and butters may be considered on the comedogenic side, they can be combined with other oils in smaller quantities (just like an essential oil added for aroma or beneficial properties) to lessen the worry about breakouts. They can also be used on the less sensitive skin of the arms, legs, or torso.
